Zhang Ziyi is a new media artist working with real-time 3D rendering and interactive immersive technology. Her whimsical fantasy color palette and sophisticated semiotics bring contemporary themes to life in a heart-touching way. In her iconic series, Butterfly Island, she creates digital butterflies, each flying with unique data set on this magical island, exploring topics of diversity and cultural inclusivity. Her work delves into themes of humanity, heritage, social and ecological sustainability in the context of the contemporary digital age. Ziyi’s art has been exhibited internationally across China, Singapore, Europe, and the US, with notable showcases at the Ars Electronica Festival (2023) in Austria and Singapore’s Landmark Building Ten Square (2023).

"Go Sailing" is a digital artwork in which the artist uses digital painting and video effects to convey heartfelt blessings for a bright future.
A mermaid sits in the middle of the ocean, offering sincere wishes to those about to embark on a journey. "Go Sailing
" seems like her farewell words to the travelers, symbolizing the beginning of an adventure, exploration, and new life. She appears gentle yet powerful, guiding and protecting those setting off on an unknown journey, instilling them with boundless courage.
The entire sea surface is filled with serene, dreamlike colors, resembling an illusion in the ocean. These colors not only hint at the unknown beauty deep within the sea but also represent infinite imagination and longing for the future. The waves gently lap around the ship, creating a tranquil and mysterious atmosphere, as if narrating a fantastical sailing story.
